How to Make a Free QR Menu for Your Restaurant
By Qrenzo · 5 min read ·
A QR menu lets guests open your menu on their phone. You do not need an app or a paid plan. You need a menu at a public link and a QR code that points to it.
Step 1: Get your menu online
Create your menu as a PDF or a simple web page and put it at a public HTTPS address, such as your website or a cloud drive set to “anyone with the link”. Read how to host a PDF for a QR code for options.
Step 2: Create the QR code
- Open the free QR menu maker.
- Paste the link to your menu.
- Add your business name and logo, choose a design and your brand color.
- Download the flyer as a PDF, PNG or JPG.
Step 3: Print table cards
Print the flyer at 100% size on matte paper. Place it on tables, at the counter and on the door. Keep a few paper menus for guests who prefer them.
Step 4: Keep it up to date
The QR code only contains the link. If you replace the file or page at the same address, printed codes keep showing the latest menu.
Is it really free?
Qrenzo creates static QR codes with no signup, no watermark and no subscription. Your menu hosting is separate, so use your own website or a free file-sharing service.
Tips for a menu guests enjoy
- Keep the file small so it loads quickly on mobile data.
- Use large text that is easy to read on a phone.
- Test the printed card on an iPhone and an Android phone.
Common questions about QR menus
- Do guests need an app? No. Their phone camera opens the menu in the browser.
- What if a guest has no phone or data? Keep a few printed menus ready.
- Can I use one code for several locations? Yes, if every location shares the same menu link, or make one flyer per location.
- Can I change prices later? Yes, by updating the file or page the link points to.
