Wi-Fi QR Code FAQ

Which phones can scan a Wi-Fi QR code?

Most current iPhone and Android phone cameras can scan the code and offer to join the network. Older phones may need a QR scanner app.

Is my Wi-Fi password safe?

Qrenzo creates the code entirely in your browser. Your network name and password are not uploaded or stored. Remember that the password is readable by anyone who scans the code.

What security type should I choose?

Most modern routers use WPA2 or WPA3, which is covered by the WPA / WPA2 / WPA3 option. Choose WEP only for older equipment and None for an open network.

What if my network is hidden?

Tick the Hidden network option so the phone knows to look for it by name.
