Google Maps QR Code FAQ

Which links does the Google Maps option accept?

Google Maps links (google.com/maps and country versions), maps.app.goo.gl short links and Maps share links. Anything else is rejected so the code can only lead to Google Maps.

What happens if I type an address?

Qrenzo creates a Google Maps search link for that address, which opens in the Maps app or in the browser.

Does the QR code give directions from the scanner’s location?

It opens your location in Google Maps, where the scanner can tap Directions to route from where they are.

Does this QR code expire, and can I track scans?

No expiry. Qrenzo creates static QR codes: your link or text is encoded directly in the code, so it keeps working for as long as the destination does. Because nothing passes through our servers, there is no scan tracking or subscription.
