Share Your Location With a Google Maps QR Code

Giving directions over the phone is slow. A Maps QR code lets people open your exact location and tap Directions.
Get your location link
- Find your business or venue in Google Maps.
- Select Share and copy the link.
- Paste it into the Google Maps QR code generator.
You can also type your address into the generator and it will build a Maps search link for you. Include the city or postcode so the pin lands in the right place.
Where it helps
- Shop windows and door signs.
- Invitations and event flyers.
- Open house flyers and listing sheets.
- Print ads and brochures.
Check it works
- Scan the code on both an iPhone and an Android phone.
- Confirm the pin is on the entrance or the right car park.
- If you also want reviews, make a separate review QR code.
Make the link accurate
A pin on the wrong side of a large building or at a road that is closed to cars is frustrating. After you copy the share link, open it yourself and check that the pin sits on the entrance or the correct car park. If your business has a verified Google listing, share that listing rather than a loose address.
Add helpful text around the code
A short line such as “Scan for directions” and the street address in plain text help people who prefer to type the address into another app. If parking or entrance details matter, add them below the code.
Pair it with reviews
A Maps code helps new customers find you. A separate Google review QR code helps them tell others about the visit afterwards. Keep them as two clearly labelled codes so people know which is which.
