QR Code for Business Reviews: Google, Facebook, More
By Qrenzo · 5 min read ·
Customers find it easier to leave a review when they can scan a code. A reviews QR code works for any platform that has a review page address, not just Google. Here is how to make one and what to check first.
Choose where you want reviews
Pick the platform your customers use and trust. For most local businesses that is Google. Others include Facebook, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor and industry-specific sites. Focus on one or two rather than spreading customers across many.
Check the platform’s rules first
Make the QR code
- Find your review page link on the platform.
- For Google, use the Google review QR code generator, which checks the link for you.
- For other platforms, paste the link into the website QR code generator.
- Add your logo, choose a design and download the flyer.
Test it
Open the link yourself and confirm it goes to the review form, not just your profile. Print one copy and scan it with two phones before you put it out.
Where to place it
- At the counter, till or reception.
- On receipts, invoices and cards you hand over.
- On tables, menus and packaging.
Ask everyone, honestly
Invite honest feedback from all customers, not only happy ones. See how to ask customers for Google reviews and our guide to a free Google review QR code.
Wording ideas for the sign
- “How did we do? Scan to tell us.”
- “Scan to leave a review”
- “We would love your honest feedback.”
Keep the wording neutral. Do not ask for a specific star rating and do not offer anything in return, because most review platforms prohibit both.
